 Re: my A series
Where do i start? internaly polished A14 block, lightend & polished A15 crank, Mazda B6 turbo pistons (ACL's not forged) 79mm, polished & shot peened A14 rods. Ive lost count of how many cams ive tried but all were from wade in melbourne. I made a bigger sump that held 5.5 litres, as well as a steel flywheel & smaller front pully.
The head is a ported gx item, L series valves, nickle bronze guides, performance valve springs.
I made lighter lifters, standard push rods with lightend & polished rockers with a pretty chrom cover 2 top it off.

I used a 4AGZE magnetic pick up and coils.
I made the manifold using 20 valve throtle bodys on a modified weber manifold with efi hardware ram tubes.

Very nice hypo14. I used to live in penrith and heard rumours of your little beast.

Nice to see what makes it run. Very tidy indeed.

I don't want to give away exactly where you live but you don't live in south penrith do you??? With a certain other green datsun parked out the front quite often?

Cheers
Trav

 Re: my A series
Nah mustn't be then. The green car i'm talking about is an sr20det 1600, dark green with 18 inch chrome alloys.

The reason i asked is there is a guy on tukarra road in south penrith with some blue datto in the garage that he always has locked up. I've only seen him working on it at night and the garage is a fair way off the street. The green datto 1600 is always out the front and i saw him up at the shops one day and had a quick chat. He mentioned that the blue thing in the garage was another datto but wouldn't tell me what it was or what was in it. He said it was a secret project. I gathered it wasn't his though but i don't live there anymore so haven't seen it out and about.

So all i know is it is either a datto sedan or coupe, I reckon it is either a 1200 or a 180b and is a very similar blue to what you have.

Just thought it might have been your car.

Oh well the search continues.

If your out cruising in about 6 months and see my blue wagon out with the plates DTS-51N come up and say hi.

Cheers
Trav
