There are four types of fans for RWD A-series engines:

1. Lo-output engine: 310 mm diameter plastic (used on A10/A12/A13/A14/A15)
2. High-output engine: 330 mm diameter plastic
3. PB310 and HB310: 350 mm diameter - steel, 7 blades
4. Electric fan: 320 mm diameter, steel 5-blade (some 1980-1982 B310s)

In USA, A/C 1200s got a flexi-fan (fibreglas blades), while B210, B310 used #2 above.


I'm thinking the 6-blade fan is from another car or is a generic (you can see the bolt holes are slotted to fit different engines).

The UTE's in South africa still come out of the factory with the plastic one on the right. See pic below.

i would say the black one is aftermarket. one of those nasty universal ones.
