a question on the efi

i was under the impression that you want the injectors as close to the combustion chamber as possible, with them pointed at an angle so that they squirt as directly as possible into the chamber.

This setup has them a fair way back. Is there a reason for this? or is it just a case of thats the package that they sell.

What's the story with the rockers? They don't look like the Yella Terra ones that I'm familiar with.
It looks like it's gonna boogie once it's up & running.

That crank angle sensor looks like a 13B one?

I've played a bit with these - the standard A series cam gear fits on the shaft...

Nice work - I like what I see!

yes it is from 13bt. most shafts are 1/2in in size so it is just a matter of changing cogs. the efi is from efi hardware. wot you dont see is a disco potatoe going on the side. the motor is built for 30psi. price tag??? lots

That's a pretty serious piece of hardware!

Do you reckon a Disco Potato would be a bit too laggy?

 Re: engine eye candy
no i have something very similar on my a14 ute at the moment and it is on full boost just under 4000rpm (12psi). very drivable. feels like a 2 stroke. this motor is punched out to 156? and has a smaller air ratio on the back than my ute so at 15 psi for the street should be quite responsive... aside from traction.

dodgeman... i am not familar with any other rola rockers. these are 1.55 ratio perhaps they have changed them a little?

I was told that if you set up your injectors further away from the port and have long induction tubes you gain torque and a bit more hp as the fuel mixes better with the air, how ever you loose a bit of responsiveness...
How ever if he is running at least 15psi I dont think it will matter where the injectors are as its all going to be forced in pretty hard anyway.
