The portrusions underneath the front valance are my custom tow brackets. Makes flat towing a cinch!

In back of me is that extra clean green 2dr sedan for sale. David might have bought it, but he didn't attend.

Thx. They were custom ordered for a guy who flaked out, so I got a good deal.

Advantages: agressive look; gawks; thumbs up, etc.

Disadvantages: rare (discontinued?) tire size.

It's only got a A14GX motor. No offense to anybody else who's got that motor, but it's annoyingly slow for my tastes.

No way are those 12's. They are 15's. I can't stand the way big wheels prevent you from lowering a stock fendered 1200. Wide 12" wheels would be muy nostalgico, but are unrealistic with a big brake car.

Ah yes ... but I'm using 195/45/15. I got them on a closeout special price. I have no idea what car they were made for originally, but I do know that this veerd size will probably be extinct the next time I need tires, and I will have to buy 195/50/15 and then raise the car up higher to clear.

And I've owned a set of these before they're pretty decent tires for the money.

The tyre size calculator shows them to be 556mm in diameter. Thats only a paltry 4mm larger than stock, so this is really good.

One way to extend the life of your rubber is to use a larger size on the rear. The displaced rears would then go into storage for when the fronts need replacement. This will also step up your overall ratio a little & might make your slowness problem just a little less problematic.

I have not run the same size tyres, front & rear, on any car i have owned in the last 27 years. I tailor tyre size to the task & the two ends of the car have diferent needs. I cary either a stocker or a front wheel as a spare & have not had a puncture in about 25 years. Thats over 600 megameters [600,000 kyeloe-meters] or about 376,000 miles.
Its a thought
Chris
P.S. LOVE the wheels. Do you know the width & offset [not backspace] of them?

The link that I posted lists them as 22 inches tall or 558.8mm. Still not bad. I'd buy a set just for insurance 'cause I see what you mean matt... this is the ONLY tire I came up with in that size.

Is it just me or is there something different about those headlights?

They look like they have a purple stripe or something through the centre. May just be the photo

Thanks 2332owner for the research. I'd still love to know what OEM fitment for those tires is.

Yeah, those are OEM Opel H4 headlights; they have a gray reflector in the center that gives them the unusual look.

I don't know the exact wheel fitment, but I do know they are a RWD rather than a FWD offset.

If you don't mind different size wheels and tires from front to back, you can do like this black coupe uses a FWD wheel in the front and a RWD (15x7?) in the rear.
