Re: 1200 sedan with flares Your car should handle so much better now, hopefully as well as it looks, might see the laptimes start tumbling!
As for my other sedan, I have to work on it first, with nearly 40

Re: 1200 sedan with flares Yeah I know what you mean, I was working at Prominent Hill mine near Coober Pedy late last year, and was welding/grinding for a few days straight in high 40's, pretty much unbearable. I'd hate to be out there now.

Re: 1200 sedan with flares Oh and I nearly forgot to mention that I put some coilover kits on the front struts, which were shortened to accept 300ZX inserts, and now have 250lb Lovells springs sitting in there. Had to use tender springs to get the ride height right while ensuring the springs don't fall out. And I put the bottom leaf on top of the spring pack and reversed it to flatten the spring pack out a bit, just have to see if it will have any adverse affects on handling.

Re: 1200 sedan with flares Another view. As far as future power upgrades go, theres an A15 lurking in a vanette somewhere nearby, ready for some attention. Hope to have that ready for next year.

Re: 1200 sedan with flares Is that a VS commodore rad? They are just too big for a 1000.
That is one tidy car! Everything is just so shiney and neat!
Hope you do well this season!

Re: 1200 sedan with flares Also got a chance to tidy up the engine bay, and make a few small improvements. Note the new oil cooler kit. Plus I rewired the whole car, and put all the relays and crap under the dash. Looks nicer for the scrutineers, if nothing else.

Re: 1200 sedan with flares what are the dates for your supersprints down there? I'm very keen for a run at Oran Park GP before it shuts down, or Easter Creek.

Re: 1200 sedan with flares The first supersprint is at oran park on the 30th of march, after that i'm not sure of the exact dates, but there's usually one a month at either wakefield, oran or eastern creek. There's even a day/night round later on in the year at Oran Park, but it might be just the south circuit.

Re: 1200 sedan with flares if you wanna go even further with hiding the wiring you could run the window wiper motor wiring on the inside and make a new hole for it to come out of

Re: 1200 sedan with flares Yeah that's a good idea, I might have to do that. It's so much nicer to open up the bonnet and not have to look at a jumble of wires and relays. The radiator is from a VN-VS Commodore. The struts are Sunny or Stanza items, not 100% sure but the tubes are 51mm, so definately not the originals. Sunnys had a smaller stub axle than the Stanzas didn't they? Anyway it has vented Magna rotors on it now with VL Commodore calipers.

Re: 1200 sedan with flares Thanks Daniel, I have to keep up appearances with your 1000 and Benny's and Jeff's coupes looking so schmick. Hope to see you at a supersprint in the near future. Cheers Aidan.

Re: 1200 sedan with flares I just realised that the writing on the back door window has been 'adjusted' to reflect just who had what it took to get it going, & going well. [With some assistance from "The Boss" of course] Once the chassis is fully sorted, it's be time to look for some additional horsepressure & that'll be a whole new adventure.
That thing is really coming together, particularly with the new wheels, which don't show up all that much in the picture.
Looking great Aiden, ... really great, you make the local Bundy boys proud..

Re: 1200 sedan with flares Flares came from 120fly. Found the chin spoiler under a hedge at my mates house but it originally came from canberra car styling.

Re: 1200 sedan with flares looks mean! i think you're the first to fit these flares to a sedan.
just needs the rear spoiler to finish it off. I've tried one on a mates sedan - fitted OK.

Re: 1200 sedan with flares Looks great ..... A far cry from what it was when it first appeared - you should be proud!! But the question remains ....... will you be using the rear spoiler as designed by the boss??? Hope we can meet up at the next event. Cheers
