Re: The Taj 1 Pulled interior this arvo. Running out of space to store my datto parts, seats ended up in my room haha, cats seem to dig em. Door cards and seatbelts pulled after photo. Then called it a night. Having friday off to do more.

Re: The Taj 1 Pulled all the loom out the bay, tediously labelling every part so i dont forget, also a good idea to tape all the bolts/screws/nuts that go with the part to the part so as to remember what goes where Pulled the quarters, lights/grill/indicators etc. Scraped the built up crap off and sprayed little spots with crc. Put the bikkies back on the front so its easier to turn wheels. Started to pull interior before i got sidetracked. Might get it out tonight or tomorow.

Re: The Taj 1 Im a stick in the mud but I like your original green, I always respray my cars in the orig colour. The only exception will be the racecar, black on light blue/gray 70's style with gold pinstriping.
But Antarctic White is cool, fridge white is not cool!

Re: The Taj 1 dont get me wrong i love the green a lot. Its a rad colour, especially when its a standard colour which im always up for over these ott pearls nd stuff but i just LOVE super duper pure white 1200's. They are just sooooo clean.

Re: The Taj 1 Good thinking muskrat, We have two of these for my second son & my daughters cars & they are refered to as 'car holes' [you need to be an avid watcher of 'the Simpsons' to undestand it] We had a really big wind one night, strong enough to bring down some trees on next doors property [we're on 1-1/2 acres each] & partly crush their garage, but I was able to drive in enough pegs & use enough ropes to keep them tied down. I was as busy as a one armed paper hanger. They will serve untill the kids move out into places of their own.
I don't know what camera you have but it's all right. It's dark enough that you need the lights on on the shed, yet the camera has shot the picture so that the car inside the 'car hole' is reasonably clear & well lit under the circumstances, which causes the light from the shed to show up quite clearly. Good job.

Re: The Taj 1 yea guys i couldnt resist but buying one. Im sure it wont last a heck of a long before it demolishes itself but meh, cheap as. Anyone else get mega frustrated with the yellow stickers on EVERAY SINGLE elastic ball strap? or maybe they didnt do that in aussie.
Camera is a 20D and was shot with a fourth of a second shutter on a tripod as it was getting quite dark. I thought it did a reasonable enough job at showing where im going to be for the next forever.

Re: The Taj 1 ooo the 400D is a very good camera indeed. Also have an outdated 300D. And a few lenses GOD those yellow things annoyed me so much. Had me, my sister and her bf all helping to try get them off. You'd think if they were going to be lame and put them on ALL the straps then they could atleast use paper that doesnt desintigrate in your fingers. Mess is all that follows.

Re: The Taj 1 Did you get planning permission before you put it up? Did you post the plans on the front fence so all the neighbours could raise any objections before you started? . Just having a laugh as here in Sydney some amateur politican who was on the local council started proceedings against Her next door neighbour because they put up one of these car ports. Claimed it lowered the tone of the street. Made one of the current affairs shows.

Re: The Taj 1 I put blocks on the poles and the guideropes to try and hold em down. Didnt do the ropes up super tight so they have some give in them.
Screw the neighbours, they can live with it for a while. They've put up with the welding and grinding and welding and grinding and i havnt heard anything so im sure they'll be fine. haha

Re: The Taj 1 These things are the best invention ever.Mine is bolted down with dyna bolts and i get about 12 months out of the covers before it starts to break down with the sun and at about $60.00 to replace the $5.00 a month is worth its weight in gold at Super Cheap. I've also given the elastic straps away and just zip tie all the eyelets. Ah,the Queensland sun!!

Re: The Taj 1 we used to have one of these when i was working at supercheap as a smokers outdoor lunchroom. we had a windy night one time and it was almost tied in knots. i think berts idea with dynabolts is the go to prevent a wayward tent.
