Yeah I was looking at these yesterday at work, I'm sure that its just the bonnet on a regular 1200...

I don't believe that we are seeing a PB110 bonnet on a 1200 car as the Excellent item was longer overall, had recesses that belended with different cowl vents & a slimmer raised shape in the middle than we saw on the facelift 1200 bonnet, but similar in style.

It's possible, I suppose, that the front section of a PB110 hood has been grafted onto a 1200 one.

Either way, I don't think that it blends with the non peaked bumper, grille or lower panels & for that reason, I don't think of it as a styling improvement, but that's just one mans view.

He welded on a bit of sheet metal to create the peak part. I wonder why, but I like it, it is a mean look.

i like it, makes it look tough. the car in the background is called a gemini in australia and was probaly badged an opel in europe.
