Re: SR20DE If that's not the 200sti Sentra, what kind of car is it? And how do you convert the SR20 to RWD?

Re: SR20DE SR20 FWD block is different than RWD block. I made a custom bellhousing using the engine interface of the FWD transaxle bellhousing and the transmission interface of the gearbox that I was using to hook the two together. You may be able to make an adapter plate for the RWD transmission that you want to use, that would be easier than what I did. It took a bunch of measuring and getting a specialty welder guy to make the bellhousing for me.

Re: SR20DE Thanks. I've heard of some FWD-block conversions, seems everyone does something different. Good on ya

Re: SR20DE Scroll through a few pictures. The starter fits in the standard SR20 location. The front of the bellhousing that we made is the bellhousing from the transaxle, the rear is the bellhousing from the Toyota Supra 5-speed that I'm using in the car.
The whole thing is in an SCCA GT Lite car. (ultimately will be SR16VE). That is why I wanted to stick with the FWD block instead of just getting a RWD block and going from there.

Re: SR20DE Yes, scrolled through the pictures, only saw one account though
The reason Datsun guys like the RWD blocks are to bolt up RWD Nissan transmissions. Your solution (stronger transmission) cruises right past that issue. Great idea!
