I think it looks good. I know there is a lot of wildlife in South Africa, so you need this sort of protection.

So long as the owner is enjoying their ride, they can bolt a big dildo to the front of the car for all I care.

As noted it looks like an old Ute (lowrise roof) that's been 'modernised' with the later model parts.

Give the guy/girl some credit for being enthusiastic enough to spend some money/time on his car.

Yeee Haaaa

 Re: UGLY 1
you guys have it all wrong... that thing up front, is to prevent the car from completely falling into the "Farking trenches" we have all over the roads here in the FreeState... look at the plate... the FS at the back stands for "fokkin Slote" which is "farking trenches"....

Where I live, we have it good... Gauteng>>"GP", short for Gigantic potholes, so we don't need bars like that, 24" wheels and rubber works more than good enough...

I have seen more damage done to UTE`s with these bars than without them.. dont ever want it on mine but I suppose different folks have different strokes!!!

Exactly where I was heading with the damage factor. Mabey a little overboard on my behalf.

P.S. Dodgeman. Do you honestly think that I cant read the numberplate for myself? You sure do like to point out minor trivial specific things don't you.

Who gives a rats fat clacker.

 Re:Not so ugly one.
I don't mind it at all. Its beauty lies in its function more than its form but if it saves a wrecked front, it'll be worth it.

From a purely stylistic point of view, the lower roof looks better, but the extra inch or two in the later models of these allows for a greater level of comfort, so again, beauty in function.

Restart the production line says I.

If you hit a 6 foot red with that bull bar the bar would probably survive but the ute would wrap around the roo...
Fortunately, ... there are not a lot of Roo's in South Africa.

I can imagine a big fella like Tyrone from the movie 'Snatch' trying to get out of it. If you hit a 6 foot red with that bull bat the bar would probably survive but the ute would wrap around the roo...
