I agree with you 100% on that point. They put the spectators behind a small barcade and a flimsy fence, while the marshals run around like idiots in the middle of the track, unprotected during a race. This happens everytime at this track and it is supposed to be organized by a club that is approved by Motorsport SA. I think NOT !!!!!!!!!!

The same MSA that approved a public road for drag use and cost Gert Vorster his life on Sunday, and now wants to blame it on driver error...

I love how these guys are standing there in the middle of the track unprotected by anything while the race is still on, not that it's a good thing though. Brings back fond memories from when my dad used to race. We used to stand in the middle with the V8 sprinters passing within a few meters from you, you could feel your insides vibrate with the noise from their zorsts as they passed.

Nowadays this isn't allowed, and they'd probably stop the race if anyone other than a stranded racer was there. Except ofcourse in Kroonstad...
