The top bracket is for the 5 speed gearbox using the same mounting holes. The bottom bracket is for the std 4 speed gearbox

Looks like 1400 mounts for a 60A 5-speed and 60L 4-speed? If so the dished bracket will also fit the 60L 5-speed.

What do you do when someone has lobbed off the factory mounting points on the transmission tunnel (like they did on my ute)?

You can cut the spotwelds off mounts on a donor sedan/coupe, and transfer them to your ute. This is a fortuituous opportunity to improve the mounts. They can be fitted in the original 1200-gearbox location but they interfere with the 60-series reverse lamp. Note that they can be used moved back to suit the 60-series (1400) gearbox.
