It oughta work.

But none of the factories have used a system like this have they? There is no plenum volume as found in other manifolds (EFI or carbureted), so I'm thinking it will have a performance handicap, i.e. less torque at all rpms

yeah, what DD said, I think it should have a plenum to work properly.

And its ugly.

Toyota has a mani like this on gutless NA Starlets.... don't know anything past that though.
