Also had to repair rust in several areas, mainly around the seams where the cowl panel and inner skirts meet the firewall. All cut out and replaced with new metal, very time consuming but worth it in the long run.

Yeah, it will be a challenge to put everything back in without scratching it but like you suggested, I'll just use plenty of rags. Actually, leather welding aprons work really well for that. Much thicker and stronger 4 more protection
Cheater5, I'm sure your wags will look just as good when it's done. I wish mine was a 2 door like yours! It is a Delux model though which is still extremely rare in Oz but a 2 door would be sweet!
