Are the new ones plastic? Have you checked to see the cost of "metal" ones. Even some junk "pot metal". Because all the ones around here are turning to dust. I suppose if plastic ones are cheap enough, just buy two sets. Good for another 20 years or so.

they were body color on my orange Coupe, but black on most others I've seen. I'm betting those were painted sometime.

And BTW, clear would be AWESOME.

Try resizing most photos to 480 wide. Looks good on this site no matter what monitor size people are using. 640 wide is better for detailed shots, but not everyone is running a large monitor (need a monitor 1024 x 768 -- maybe even bigger -- to see the larger photos without scrolling).

Color's not important, I just have had alot of people ask if I knew where to get new ones. All of ours here are cracked. How much are they? And honestly, black or chrome is probably best.

 Re: coupe vent
What would be wrong with blak vents on any colour car? How many cars come with different colour mirrors and door handles, big F#@king deal. And if it is, it would take aroung 15-20mls of paint to cover some thing of the size of a vent.

 Re: coupe vent
im not doubting the TACKY people have no taste. therefore black vents on any color car would be fine. you might as well make the grille at the front clear, and the bumpers multi pearl. why not eh? maybe you could make the blinkers black and the rear brake and reverse light black as well. , any stuppid ideas about painting anything else on a datsun 1200 please post it here theres always one moron that thinks its kewl.
