Yes, YJ.

The interesting thing here is I can clearly see "H10" cast into the block. And of course the large-hole GX head.

Good eyes on that valve cover.

1200s with A/C got a double-groove pulley.

years ago i has a complete genuine gx
engine, the block was painted orange/red
and looked factory? anyone?

pretty sure the water pump had something for the water heated manifold
not %100 sure though

"H10" is the "applied model" code for early Datsun 1200.

Here's an A12 with "M08" applied model for Datsun E10 Twin-Carb

According to the list there DD, isn't the H10 code just a standard 1200 block? On the list, the applied model number is H24 for the GX sedan?

Or is that the point... the engine is being sold as a GX, but it's just standard

GX block and standard block are the same part number. There is no difference. The GX uses a different camshaft, maybe the water tube, and usually the pistons. So the engine assembly part number is different, but not the block part number.
