I did the same but used a A12 engin in a Cango-t-top kit on a VW chassis. The fuel consumtion was very good. 6l/100km

Any photos of your conversion? I have a spare I.R.S. VW Transaxle and a front suspension...Would like more details...

a mate of mine has a buggy with a L18 in it but i have never seen an A-series in a VW before very good idea though!

I think dellow did the adapter plate that my mate has got, he bought it from a swap meet years ago, i would assume they would do the A-series adapter plate but i'm not sure.

That's so COOL!! I've seen an adapter listed to adapt the Datsun A-series to a VW transaxle but this is the first photograph of one done!
I wish I could crawl under and view all the installation details!!
