I thought I might celebrate my 100th post by putting my ute photo back on the main page of the site.

So to help me celebrate if I can get some ratings or comments, suggestions on my ute.

See what you guys think. Cheers

I have a few posts to go yet before I catch up with ddgonzal and the like................................................

It deserves to have a name. What about "The Yeller Peril"
You might need to hit your history books to appreciate it though.

It's lookin good, but since you asked for comments, i will agree with Kegs. I kinda like the chrome too. Paint is what they put on the cheap models to save a dollar.

Looks like 1200RC & i differ on that point [Gee, now thats unusual ]

I lean towards the original 1200 grille with as much brightwork as it originally had in the DeLuxe model.
I will agree with 1200RC when he says that these are just suggestions, but you do what makes you happy. It's lookin' good.
Oh yeah, i like the door mirrors. I had the stock fender mirrors on my 1000 sedan & every time someone bumped one in the car park, it was a real pain in the posterior to get out, & in, several times to adjust them.
Thank christ my 1000 Coupe came with the specially ordered door mounted mirrors from new.
Chris
P.S.
LOVE the wheels, but i'm the sort of bloke who would have been asking the wheel seller if the same style was also available in 5' or 5-1/2" by 14" & run 'em on the front. I like big 'n littles as it gives a tidy little rake without lowering the suspension & allows a suitable size tyre for the front, but then i'm a hot rodder & thats standard fare for us.

I dissagree. If everyone agreed it would be because everyone liked whatever it was they were agreeing about. When was the last time you were bored with something you liked?

see what i mean your just saying that to keep it interesting

nah, um, what would we all talk about though, i have actually noticed that when there is a "controversial" conversation it tends to bring members out of the woodwork, becoming more active and actualling posting rather than sitting back reading us bitch on

Lets just agree to dissagree. Agreed?
Chris

PS
The ute looks smart & i forgot to say that i really like the colour. I would love to do my 1000 coupe in a lovely silver grey, but a total colour change is more than i am prepared to do while i am still building two street rods.

The lack of a bodykit on this ute allows the true classic style to stand out. VERY agreeable. I seem to like it more each time i see it.
If it was only a B20 [he said wistfully]

The bumper was done in the panel beaters, basically stripped right back then painted with the body color, I'll get the two small back bumpers done soon.

The wheels are 15 X 6 - no spacers or adapters or anything, they run very very very close to the struts though .

Motor: Fairly Stock A15 - 4 speed, plans are for a CA18DET. When the rest of the car is finished. I'll do the motor last.
