I just drove home from work 25 miles with no alternator and one of my shoelaces strung up to run the water pump.

Re: Shoelace Alright then Sir, when I get back from vacation, I'll post a video of it running.
The darn alternator seized up right as I was leaving work, so I pulled the belt. I figured I could make it home on the battery but not to the end of the parking lot without the water pump. So I tried the shoelace and kept the revs under 3000.
