This mount was built by my friend Marty (thanks man) for a car he was building.  It extends mount back to meet up with the rubber bolted to the frame.  If I have screwed up and put the opposite mount picture here, read the description of the right motor mount photo.

Ok, ok. I'll look at the photos before I post them next time.
I'm not sure what this mount was from but I'm fairly certain it was Datsun. Not that that helps much. Anyway, the mount has a sort of step to it and doesn't sit flat against the block. I welded two old lugnuts to the back of it to act as spacers and bolted the whole thing to the air conditioner mount holes on the block. I had to "cheat" the rubber back on the mount and forward on the frame to line them up (new holes).
If you look closely, you can see the studs that the mount used bolt to, just under the carb.
You can also see where the lower radiator hose is about to blow. I took this photo right before the "radiator hose tune up" event. Look back in the old postings for that string. Rather amoosing if I remember right.

I can't believe you were still running the stock braided radiator hoses! Mine started leaking in way back in 1985 or so. The small hose inside the car (for the heater) lasted until about 1990 ... I finally found a replacment for that in another Nissan model.

I searched for "radiator hose tune up" but didn't find the thread ... I'm sure it's worth reading again.

 Re: Gil
I think that was a new/old stock part that I had around. The reason for the failure was the same reason I switched to this mount. The mount that was on there before this one kept breaking and dropping the engine down on this side.
I'll try to find the thread too.
