It's the boot lid, or deck lid emblem for a Sunny/ Datsun 1000 coupe. That would make it a KB10.

Actually its not a grille emblem but the emblem that goes in the scolloped (recess) section of the boot on a coupe.
I have 2 in need of repainting and rechroming. However plastic chroming is hard to find someone who can do it. Not to mention the fact I'm lazy so probably won't get around to it anyway.

Take a look at the rear shot of Stevos car........theres a round ring on the bootlid......it goes in there.

It certainly looks like a 1200 rear panel emblem. With the difference being that it's got an S..instead of a D. Which could mean that it's from a JDM Sunny B110.
I'm not a B10 expert though, so it could be from a Datsun 1000 Coupe.
