Stanza Strut Comparison

Going through my pics again... Stanza Strut (top/left) versus original drum brake ute strut (bottom/right). Doing the strut swap (a while ago now) i noticed the track was increased a fair bit. Notice the difference distance between where the ball joints bolt on and where the wheel mats up to the hub. |

Re: Stanza Strut Comparison Yeah I've heard that using the H190 diff outta the vanette's increeses your rear track roughly the same. But unless you look carefully at the front wheels you don't know they stick out more, so the bigger diff isn't neccessarily needed Cheers DAmo

Re: Stanza Strut Comparison remember that the bottom strut usually had another 7 or 8mm of drum sitting infront of it
its only about an 8mm difference from one strut to the other when you actually measure it, and the other 8 or so mm comes from the larger offset on the stanza balljoint
not exactly a huge difference really

Re: Stanza Strut Comparison it wasn't over by a little bit, it was 50 mm or something and that's with the best wheels we could fit to try and decrease the track.
edit: and it wasn't the engineer, in act you have to take it into the rta to get registered and they measure everything. it's got nsw rego now though.

Re: Stanza Strut Comparison track is increased by 30mm i think overall, and you are allowed 25mm
so could just run late ute or 120y balljoints and it should easily be within that...you will just have some pos camber for a while
