It means there's less spots to rust which is a plus for us B210 owners.. :D

edit: on a serious note those water connections look interesting, any chance of a close up?

The holes in the upper cowl area are there to help let the air out from the upper half of the engine cavity where there's no movement of air. This drops the engine compartment temperature up to 20 degrees by keeping air flowing around the motor at all times. These holes are not in the firewall. This lets air out of the cowl vent.
