 Re: B310 Radiator (2)
I have already thinked about it. However here in Portugal SR20DET are not very easy to find.
Even the A14 are very rare and the A15 are inexistent.

I have thinked about the 300ZX V6 biturbo Engine and i tried to buy one. I think it can fit very tight. The junkyard price was something like $5000 with a broken intake manifold for the complete engine, ECU, Gearbox, endshaft, etc..., Quite expensive!!!!

That will be a hell of a car, over 300HP/750Kg.

I am now searching for something less expensive. But i think that the CA18DET or the SR20DET could be great.

RIC.

friend of mine did this to a sunny sedan once.put an l20b into it,piece of cake.you use a pa10 stanza cross member, which bolts right in,an l20 will drop onto the mounts, the 5 speed only needs another hole cut for the gearstick,or some short gearboxes go straight in.the pa10 stanza diff goes in easily as well, shorten the stanza tailshaft if necessary, you just have to extend the wires to fit the accessories,& i think you already have a hydraulic clutch.these should be much easier to find than a14/15's,& the car in question went very quick.hope you don't mind me telling you this, but it looks like you & i are the only one's with sunny's & we got to stick together.bye for now, paul.

Paul, I have 2 KB310 Sunny coupes. One road car and one race car.

My road car has an L series in it. The race car has an SR20DE. I have just got the road car back on the road with the new engine.

feral, now that you've got two going for comparison, how does the L20B compare to the SR20DE? Is it "no contest" as we might expect? Is the handling affected much by the weight of either one?

Hello ric.
it was spectacular if you got a engine of that type , it is something that I also thought already, but don't forget that you live in portugal , legally, that conversion would be very expensive , only in taxes it is not for less of 5000 €, according to the capacity of the new engine. Speaking about A14 you can "disguise" him, because he looks like a A12
But finally, I don't want to disappoint you , but it is the reality of our country...........
