Now, now thats not the way to be.. you should know 2 door sedans always kicked the butts of the heavier coupes in 1000 and 1200 models when it comes to weight and not in boyracer beauty. But hey each to their own..
From factory the deluxe coupe with the works came in at 705kgs which is an embarrassment as the 1200 coupes weighed the same and the deluxe 2 door sedan came in at 645kgs. Some books quote the coupe at 675 and others at 705kgs but after weigh bridge comparisons I made with my deluxe 2,4 door and coupes, the coupes were always closer to 700 mark. The fastback design put more metal round the rear but after a rollcage the coupe sucks.
Nissan always chose the 2 door sedan even in its last race in Malaysia in 1974. As a comparo the 180b sss coupe sucked in rallying but its lighter 4 door sedan brother didnt due to its 80kgs difference.
A 240k 4 door always beat a 2 door for the same reason and even a 240z lag behind the 4 door 240k (factory manuals quote 240k sedan 985kgs, 240z 1065kgs and 240k coupe 1120kgs) with the same engine my uncles coupe was an embarrassment first the 240k then the later 240z to my neighbours factory 240k sedan.
The fact is you yourself bought Mammis old 2 door race car which was bought from another mob and should learn to love it.
And most cars look good with a lowering job no matter how many doors (remember the sexy pillarless black tank in Goldfinger anyone?).
Oh and no need to start 1000 sedan bashing when you missed the rear doors on this fanta baby.
They are a totally different look the sedan 1000 looks more like a miniture 1600 and the 1000 coupe a miniture retro stanza coupe.
