Re: A Series Comparison Dyno Graph I wonder how modern 1.2-1.5L L3/L4 engines are making 140lbs-160lbs of torque from a low 1600-4000rpm yet heads are designed for torque at higher up rpm than an A12.
The Chevy LV3 ohv v6 engines make more torque than any Nissan VQ engine and on par with power as well so the A series custom modded variable timing added with thermal coatings using latest practiced small turbo engine tech could be easier to drive than these late 16v turbo engines.

Re: A Series Comparison Dyno Graph Modern turbo design philosophy is high boost at low RPM ... which creates high torque
Turbo for high RPMs is so 1970s

Re: A Series Comparison Dyno Graph these turbos must be very small high efficiency to get them to flow at such low rpm from poor torque characteristics of multivalve heads.
It is common knowledge with head porters and tuners 8v heads deep swirl are more capable for torque than 16v tumble design even with vtec.
I wonder what a stock A13 small bore engine using the same smaller turbos and hardware from one of these late engines. Eg more torque and better curve up to 5k rpm than modern 16v.
