Bubbles? ( little raised spots) started appearing from under the paintwork, I thought it must be rust spots so I started stripping the bonnet back to bare metal. In the end it was some sort of crappy filler that I had used to fill stone chips in the paint before respraying.
I did find some minor surface rust though and a very minor bog repair on the front passenger side.
This bonnet had been repainted 6 times! What a pain in the butt to strip!!!

The Z rims look pretty good Mik but I'll get something else soon, just not sure what yet.
Wouldn't mind the clear coat Delorean look but I'll be spraying it like the rest of the car very dark metalic grey (like my hair ;)

what did u do to get through all the layers of paint easily ? ive got a blue bonnet which feels like 50% heavier than my bonnet and i think its due to mass over-painting..

nice job on the GX bonnet =]

I used paint stripper but it took a while, regardless of what it said on the label it would only soften a couple of layers each application. It helps to scratch up the paint before applying so it can penitrate deeper.
Hope this helps.

That's what gay gx bonnets get on a 2dr sedan nige.

Love the z rims, now paint it a different shade of grey to stand out, also to match your hair
