I made this at home after looking at the kit for sale from Maddat, so Maddat would be the best place to try.

 Re: Short shifter fitted.
Ok I finally drove the car with the short shifter in it. It took a while to get used to, changing from 2nd to 3rd felt like I had only moved the gearlever to neutral.
I am really getting to like short shift now, shifting from neutral to any gear requires only about 35-38mm of shifter movement, hell of a difference :)

I moved the pivot point higher and shortened the gear lever aswell.
It still changes nicely but might take abit to get used to, if anything it seems a bit tighter in the shift.
When I get a chance to drive it properly I'll let you know.

Short-throw shifter looks good. How's it work, is it just as smooth?

Some guys make a short shifter by just cutting the shift lever shorter. But only by moving the pivot point does it make the throw/travel shorter -- as levey has done so nicely here.

Had to make a new reverse light bracket due to the increased height of the shifter but all seems to be working well.
Without doing an exact measurement it looks like about 30% less shifting distance from 2nd to 3rd gears, not bad but didn't want to go higher as it wouldn't fit below the standard center console.
