1200 strut tops in 120Y - lowering

1200 strut tops in 120Y lower the car by 30mm. 120Y's shock mount is 25mm under the strut tower, and the 1200's is 5mm above. Ride height changed exactly 30mm.
need to cut the centre hole out from 80mm to 94mm diametre.
1200 studs are 8mm versus 120Y's 10mm, so you need washers underneath the nuts. |

It's not the difference between the height of them while sitting on a bench that matters, it's the relative position the top of the spring seat underneath them that changes the ride height. You can't see that in the photo.
The 120Y top mounts the spring seat 25mm under the strut tower, and with the 1200 top mounts the spring seat is 5mm above the strut tower. So you get 30mm lowering, not the 1.5" (38mm) that photo suggests. It's more like 1&3/16"
