I think the SR20VET came out in a Japan-only Terrano-II.

i no wat every thing stands for in the names except v could any one fill me in there plz and also could this be used to put in like a pulsar or sumthing as a replacement if the motor did blow up

V = variable cam timing. It's like having a stocker cam at idle, and a race cam at high rpm ... that is the secret to the newest engines.

apart from wanting to stay brand loyal why bother when the Ford ZTEC motor puts out 180hp and ONLY weighs in at 70 odd kgs. Now thats good math. It will definitely be the motor I will go for when I go big.
