I think the brass plate was a bit too thick, it was stamped up using a "VIN" machine. If I find some thinner brass I have no problem making some up i'll need the details though.
The brass I used was 0.3mm compared to the recommended 0.1mm alloy plate designed for the machine, so yes it was damn hard work.

Just remember, brass polished up, or chromes, real nice, but aloominum is soft & marks easily, & under the wrong conditions, corrodes.

The brass is a better choice, in my view, & shim brass comes in various thicknesses, so a slightly thinner size should be available.

that looks really good mate! nice work. it looks pretty real to me. was it hard to stamp into the metal?
