Re: Matsfatdat! No the wheels bolt straight up there 15/6 even got 195 them they dont really scrub unless you really throw it into a corner, it not bieng slammed helps out.

The 1000 WAS however the start of the development that led to the 1200GX & some Datsun 1000 "Sports option" parts were slightly restyled & used on the GX. These included the steering wheel & gear knob, with a 4 speed pattern, but it's the same knob otherwise.
Section 120 of the B10 parts book is headed "RACE & RALLY" & there are almost 2 pages of part numbers, but they are for front pulleys, valve springs, & seats & retainers, altenator brackets, waterproof distributors. HT leads, gearbox gears for the 4 speed, speedo pinion gears, & diff Pinwheel & Crownions*
Nothing really of interest. There was however a competition tune up manual with a lot of race prep info & part numbers, & some of this stuff was carried into the 1200 race manuals list, & no, i don't have one of these,.....yet.
So,... was there a Datsun 1000GX NO.
