I took the dark car on the right of screen, to be a 1200, but the red one that can be seen between it & the white one looks to be a 1000. It must be the lower weight that puts them in front. Go the B10's
They are all 1200's. Notice how in this pick the 1000's bonnet extends down a little bit further. Also notice the three openings below the 1000's grill.
And in this pick the openings below the 1200's grill
It's called the Datsun 1200 Trophy Cup for a reason ... if you look at all the other pictures of the race, there are no non-1200s -- and no Coupes.
Although now I am intrigued: are coupes 'eligible', or is it just that no one has ever entered a coupe since coupes weren't sold in Portugal? The rules should say, but they are in Portuguese.
It's a bit hard to tell, but is that one,...or two, Datsun 1000's leading the 1200's into the turn. The white one is surely a 1000, but the one with the red / black grill is just not clear enough for me to call.
Im impressed that would have to be the most 1200's ive seen in one spot they must be a big thing in portugal . My engien rebuilkd is coming along still awaiting the race preped crank and rods from melbourne. And my pistons as I had to have them remachined (they dont make the 2.7mm oil rings anymore)
OH Boy oh boy, what an unbelievable shot. This must be the ultimate in entry level racing, is it for just sedans or are coupes elligible as well??? I hate to think about the damage to those thin panels......
