Bloody forever!!!! The supercharger mounting bracket was built in one week. The manifold took ages. All told it has been a Very long project. The blower can be bolted and unbolted in about half an hour, but I actually began building it in 2001!!

Excelent, what kind of performance are you achieving? Is it a stock engine? or modified?(I mean, other than the charger).
About what I hear about the police in your country, you have a 1400 engine/motor, which makes it legal, right?...is a supercharger an illegal addition? you are within your allowed limits, a 1400 motor in a Datsun 1200, why would a supercharger be illegal?
Just wondering.

Yep..it's a Pedestrian hazard!

We Australians are supposed to be able to run over people with minimal damage.

 Re: A14force
Here in NZ anything bigger than a 1200 needs certifcation. My car was certified before I bought it (for a 1400). The s/c setup will also need further certification. This will sting me $250. The engineer I spoke to said that the protrution would be permissable , providing it didn't obscure vision. And that if the blower drive was exposed, it would need a shroud (mine is not).

It sticks out of the bonnet?

Cool!

Mr police man might want to talk to you very often though if that is the case...

Still, looks very very cool...

Edit: upon seeing the other pic, I think that it doesn't stick out the top...
How is this possible?

Actually it's a 1400. Yes it will protrude through the bonet, a have another bonet with a custom made (cut) hole that I had painted when the car was.
As for the constabulary, a cunningly designed scoope will hopefully reduce unwanted attention.
Or not.
