All told it has been a Very long project. The blower can be bolted and unbolted in about half an hour, but I actually began building it in 2001!!

About what I hear about the police in your country, you have a 1400 engine/motor, which makes it legal, right?...is a supercharger an illegal addition? you are within your allowed limits, a 1400 motor in a Datsun 1200, why would a supercharger be illegal? My car was certified before I bought it (for a 1400). The s/c setup will also need further certification. This will sting me $250. The engineer I spoke to said that the protrution would be permissable , providing it didn't obscure vision. And that if the blower drive was exposed, it would need a shroud (mine is not).

Yes it will protrude through the bonet, a have another bonet with a custom made (cut) hole that I had painted when the car was. As for the constabulary, a cunningly designed scoope will hopefully reduce unwanted attention. Or not.
