This was a "dealer only" item, not intended to be available to the public, & if you wind up the key at the bottom, it plays a tune when you lift off the top.

When a salesman was talking you into buying a Datsun car, he would offer a cigarette & if the offer was accepted, the top was lifted, the cutsie little tune would play, & the buyer was lulled into a happier frame of mind.

This one has either very clean windows, or the insert is missing. The car is branded as a Sunny, & not as a Datsun, so it was originally intended for the Japanese domestic showrooms.

The one i have is losing it's gold colouring, so i might have to get it painted. It came from D&G motors in Blacktown [Sydney]
