Re: Datsun 1k with sigma GE brakes
Well I posted the bluebird diff and it has the drum diameter of the later bluebird drums and luckily a 240-260z alloy drums fit too.

I went for the sigma rotors for their larger size and thickness compared to 120y rotor and caliper. The sigma caliper is different Im sure as it accepts the thicker rotor from the sigma. I still havent found calipers that fit the vanette front end after searching far and wide. As I dont have the manuals or program to check for other possible calipers I can use for the vented vanette setup I cant proceed to find a better caliper.
I love how my b10 brakes now even after several bursts through the great ocean road.
The next step up is datomans1000 kit for those looking for vented disks unless someone solves the vanette caliper setup to alloy calipers.

Yes thats right they are larger and thicker than the 218mm 120y or 1200 212mm ones check the specs at pbr.com.au

the sigma rotors are 229mm diameter but the centre hole is 67mm so the 1200 coupe hubs need 3mm off to fit sigma rotors off the shelf. Also available are slotted ones!

does the hub need to be drilled out? does the sigma caliper mount up without to much trouble?

The hub needs 3mm off the diameter to fit off the shelf sigma ge disks and the caliper brackets need to 3 of the holes re drilled about 5mm away from originals so the calipers miss the tie rods.

Does anyone know the piston diameter in these calipers?

Re: Datsun 1k with sigma GE brakes
Sorry a bit late steve with my reply.
Yes they are front calipers, caliper brackets and disks.
I hadnt been on the net for a few days and lost this thread I posted
For the weight of a 1k compared to sigma (500kg lighter at least) they work really well and are cheap to set up.
However Im still interested in the vanette setup with the larger vented disk but better and lighter calipers than the vanetter cast steel ones. I was thinking the camira or vl commodore vented alloy calipers but havent gone further with researching.
Well making brackets and other stuff takes time, knowledge, ability and..... well I have almost one of the metioned.

Looks good.
Are they front or rear sigma calipers and bracket?

these look like the calipers i used to use, which were off a 120y,with pbr brakes.they used the same pads as early sigmas.i used them in several cars & were always good.just in case you can't find a ge sigma.don't know if the disks were the same diameter.
