Yes indeed. Mike became a big-time importer (not of cars, though). The photos were likely taken circa 1976, as they appeared in the 1977 edition of the book, and weren't in the 1975 edition

I emailed him back in 2006? but (as expected) received no reply

yeah this car has remained a secret except for that book. i never saw it or heard about before this. maybe it's still around, sitting on blocks in old mike haraguchi's garage in torrance?
