That is a 140J commonly known as Violet, the 160J came out as a 2 door as far as I know. They run the L14 and L16 respectively.

yeah looks like a 140J that used to be up the road from my work. only ever seen one.
I assume they wren't released in australia.
Think they were in NZ though.
From what I understand it was an L14 engine.
Might be a 160J too... Not too sure...

Twin-sidedraft L-series engine ...

It's a P610, labeled differently in different countries (Bluebird, 140J, 610, etc). Either that or it's a 710 (violet) ...

The wagon behind it is a B210 wagon (120Y) is it not?

OK, I took a look in my Datsun picture book. It looks like a 710, but with a non-US grille and bumper.

Its think its a series 2 710 (140J) with L14 engine. This one has the SSS carb kit (twin SU's) on it but doesnt have the independent rear end of the SSS.

well, since I was there, at that show (thats my b210 van behind it!) I can say with absolute authority that the mustard coloured car is a 1975 160J SSS (710 series) Owned by a chap called Preet. The car is stock as a rock and has covered just 19,000KM since new . And it DOES have independant rear suspension. (and twin hitachi side-draught carbs)

Ooops.. i just got mixed up, i posted under the wrong pic. Car I was talking about was this one..
http://www.datsunworld.com/jae/jae2003/image8.htm

and the car pictured above is of course still a mustard 710 but a sedan, with single carb, and solid rear axle.

The B210 van by the way, is very very rusty, but is pssibly the only surviving B210 van in the UK.
