In the South Gippsland portion of Victoria, along the South Gippsland Highway, is the pretty little community of Loch.

The Fire Brigade & Rescue Squad there are busy little beavers who gather up all the junk cars that they can find, & a couple of times each year, they call in the car squasher & receive money for the metal to help finance their fire fighting & rescue activities.

They DO NOT "sell" parts from the cars. They give them away, & the people who recover the parts show their appreciation with a DONATION.

The storage yard is located in Clarence St. which runs off the main drag. [the former highway] You can contact the Fire Brigade on 03 3659 4332, but just mention that the call is NOT for an emergency.

I took this, & other shots when i was working in the area a short while ago.
There is also a "68 Datsun 1000 shell with front cut missing, but with a salvageable front guard or two inside, there is also a Cortina with it's Webber carb still on it & a bunch of other cars with useable parts.

This coupe has no mechanicals, but there are a lot of trim items, including core bumpers, & of course, the dash, which is the reason for this post.

Don't go there looking for the tail lights, i already got them,...... for a $5 donation.
