Sorry to see any car bent but if no one is hurt then "that's motorsport". Sucks I know but the thrill of being on the edge is why we do it !! It's moments like these you appreciate the time and money spent on safety items.
Hope you are back in the saddle soon
Cheers

This was a while back. It all got re-shelled into the 240RS about 5 years ago..
The shell was knackered, it end overed then rolled three times...

It was a great little car in it's day...

at least it went down fighting, rather than rusting away due from neglect like alot of old Dattos.

And the 240RS is an awesome machine, so it definitely didn't die in vain

I didnt want to post anything up cause I can only imagine how bad you would feel after so much effort into your pride and joy.
But now that you say it was 5 years ago... it seems you can finaly talk about it as a bloody long time is needed to heal old datto wounds.

It took me 3 years to get over the love of my life but tsillay 5 years to be able to share this past tragedy.

Must've jinxed myself.
Buried the 240 in a bank on saturday, on the untimed run, first corner, in full view of everyone!!

Wasnt even pushing, just turned the wheel and nothing happened.
I'm in a good frame of mind to post a rant about the catalog of a certain major parts supplier, which lists the same front end parts for B310's and US110's....

They ARE NOT the same taper on the ball joints....

Really fekking irritated....

sorry to hear that Tim. Hopefully it's nowhere near as badly damaged as the 310?

Clipped a bank whilst in 4th gear.
AAhhh, the days when you could run slicks in hillclimbs....

ah well, cars can be rebuilt... or reshelled. At least you're OK.

I hate seeing mates roll their cars, and its starting to happen a little too often... 3 of my mates have rolled their cars in local hillclimbs at MtCotton and Noosa in the last 18 months. And it could have easily happened to me in a recent tarmac rally where I slammed into a gutter sideways and the car was thrown into the air.

Ahhhhh thats a real shame. I'm sorry to see the car soooooo bent. I guess the only consolation is that the driver is OK but it doesnt make it any easier especially if you have spent so much time and effort building the car and getting it sorted.

Commiserations on your bad luck
