 Re: Engine transport frame
I had this frame knocked up a little while ago. It mounts an A10 or 1200 engine & trans. & it is bolted securely to the floor of my box trailer.
With a complete engine & trans assembly it is perfectly balanced & i can drive at any legal speed without any wory at all.
This is my headless 1200GX & 56A five speed that i recovered from my 1000 sedan this afternoon.

Respect your Datsun, treat it well.

Dodgeman, thats going to be one useable motor gearbox combination you are building there,a beautifull looking head, nice work to the bottom end and a good choice of gearbox, I was talking to Feral yesterday and i agree with him the torque range on your set up will make it lots of fun to drive.

Geeee,[blush] Thanks blokes.
I hoisted it out today & gave it a wash. It looks much better now. After taking a good look at the bore, I believe that it would probably take a light hone, then give it some rings & a set of bearings, & it looks like it would be ready for the road again. But thats not going to happen.
It was put out to pasture because of the burnt exh. valve in No. 2, so i now discover. If i can ever find my brother, i will ask him how long he had been driving it on 3 cylinders.
