driven here by my mate Chris Berry. He did the right thing and came second in class behind the car's owner...

no, he doesn't live in launie... he was a NSW Rally Champion in a 1600 in years gone by.

the wheels are 14*7 Falcon hotwires redrilled to suit Datsun PCD, because it was much easier (and cheaper) to get Falcon wheels in this size. Old Falcon PCD is 5/114.3 and Datsun is 4/114.3, so 3 new holes need to be drilled.

yep. 2.6 seconds faster (over 3 laps) compared to the last round on this track with the 13*7" Superlites and same type of tyres (Yokohama A032R).

Judging by the tyre wear and examining some of the pics taken, I think there could be some gains by getting rid of the rear sway bar and going to higher rate leaves. You can see it a little in this pic that the sway bar tries to hold the axle parrellel to the chassis, effectively resulting in +ve camber on the rear (edited to make more sense)... I might look into the leaves you got from JTS?

I found superlites very heavy compared to larger ford falcon hotwires. The hotwires where almost twice lighter!! Gotta love those older hotwires theyre quite affordable.
