Wouldn't it be nice to find one of these engines to bolt into your 1200 ???

I have 3 L14's if you really want one

Price depends on what condition you want it in and what hang ons are included.

what benefits does the L14 have over the A14 errol? do they rev as good? are they just as light? what internal benefits? what was stock HP?

They are OHC and can be made to put out about 140-150 hp. Good in cars that are L engine based with a bigger bore so you end up with a short stroke 1600 class engine.

Personally I prefer the A14 for 1200's or sunny's in around 1500 capacity engines.

I hear 5-speeds are more readily available for L-series engines in Australia. That could be an advantage.

At the same capacity say a14 at 1600cc and the L16 which one would rule? Surely the L16 with the bigger bore, valves and the rest right?
