yeah just thought my first post better be a good one

if its goen on a A motor consider a heat shield between da exhaust and the manifold cos i imagine that thing

Re: my inlet manifold taking shape
hey guys ive done a bitof work and a bit of thinking, it seems the outlet of the s/c will be mounted directly opp the first inlet runner, in other words blowing straight into it, will this be a problem? and also will i have probs with having square ends on the plenum pipeor should they be angled or round ????
plz id like some opinions

it's not ideal. i've seen setups like this that have all kinds of boost fluctuation problems, i've seen others that work perfectly fine.

are you sure you can't add some bends to make it come thru the front of the plenum as planned?

make sure you bell mouth the ends of the runners in the inlet manifold to promote better air flow. Another thing I might mention is that you may find that the end cylinder will be getting more air (5-7% more) and the first one up to 3-5% less. To over come this make up a plenum that tapers off to 1.5 X the diameter of the runners. Did you also consider inlet runner length (longer more low down torque less high RPM torque, shorter less low down torque more high RPM torque)

just though id let you know

this is the start of my inlet, the way ive mokced it up is a bit wrong the overhang is meant to be at the other end, this is where the s/c will be mounted. i couldnt set it up exactly how it will sit.. bit if u think about it all u do is stand the plenum up a bit higher so the angles on the runners at vertical and thats how itll be.... time will tell if its any good eh
