I was playing silly-buggers with nopsi's car this morning...for anyone wondering what a sedan would look like with flares

harry, now lower this little girl about 2 inches,to get those tyres up in to the flares.it'll
look sweet that way.at the moment it looks short, but lowering the car will make it look longer & balance it out.this is only my opinion,so please don't take offence.it will also
make it go around corners better.i can vividly remember racing my sedan years ago at oran park, with a ride height about the same as this,& having the right hand side tyres on top of a tall ripple strip,& the car level, because the car just wanted to tip over.at the end of the day i'd gone through the case hardening of the diff centre, because all the diff oil was up in the axles tubes.so i got my already reverse eyed springs reset 2 inches, lowered the front to suit,& never had the 'climbing the ring & opinion' problem again.plus i got the diff baffled to keep the diff oil around the centre.

yeah, it does need to come down a little bit. that's why I cheated at the back a little bit, taping the flare on a bit lower than the wheelarch actually is to visually lower it a bit.

RE the rear doors opening. you would simply cut the flare to allow the door to open. There would ba a little more work cutting the rear wheelarch on a sedan (comapered to coupe) but I've had a good look at this one and it wouldn't pose any real problems.

has a bit of a torana look in that pic with those flares on

those flares look good on a track 1200 not a street one. big pumped or moulded flares look better on street 1200s I reckon.

good pic but

 Re: fat sedan
but it is a 'track' 1200. You'd find they'd look alot better on the car if they were painted body colour.

who_your_datty_1200, if you're serious about the flares, I can help arrange them - a mate makes them. $300 per set of 4.
