The radius rod bracket was never the 1000's strongest point as it was spot welded, & not very well at that. This should make sure that nothing moves when it shouldn't

Once the chassis was perfectly squared, the nice car doctor used his magic wand to srtengthen everything with some extra stitching.
Seams were welded for both strength & water exclusion. I want this one to be handed on to my great grandchildren, so anything that will help assure a long life is worth the effort.

I just had a vision of the future ... Dodgeman's descendents fighting over who gets the KB10 ... one wants to use it for a coffee-table base (i.e. work of art), the other wants to cash it in under the government's fuel-cell vehicle trade-in program ...

I bought the car in a pre-damaged condition from a wrecker & the roadside marker post damaged only the bumper & front apron.

Hopefully, the future will see it powered by a cold fusion nuclear engine with infinite ratio variable speed auto trans.
The ability to fly, a-la 'Back to the future' would be a usefull option.

Yes, that's the bracket that broke two or three times on my 1200 -- offroading is hard on it. The welds and extra bracing there is a good idea.

This is a good mod and I have to move my battery to the rear to avoid the acid always eating and weakening this area away as seen in other 1ks.
This is where my rotor will have to be supported from. (yes I couldnt help it bought another rotor for my street b10)
This time one with a front mount section like the WA drag rotor b10 dman1000 has supplied pics of.
What kind of welder did you use Dodge? arc?

It wasn't me that welded it. It was the good doctor at the car hospital where my coupe is receiving intensive loving care.
It was welded with a MIG or TIG welder.
If you haven't already, then check the photo album for more pics.

I would have moved my battery carrier too, but in a coupe, there is nowhere that the battery could be mounted, that isn't under the roof, & i will not allow acid fumes in a confined space to destroy my lovely from within. My battery tray is completely undamaged, so it stays where it is.

Ive ordered a sealed unit gel type of 5.1kg weight and its so small it can fit under the rear seat. I was going to go for the 6.3kg version but I dont need the extra amps.

Now thats something i should look into. The Gell Cell battery. It will be staying under the bonnet, but no point in having a better mousetrap available, then not using it. Thanks for the tip.
