Another view as a comparison to Fazpioes engine in  Portugal. Same basic setup, yet somehow diferent. The fuel rail is next to the air cleaner, while the balance pipe & PCV function both use the small pipe across the top of the inlet runners. Filtered air for the rocker cover comes from the fitting in the carb side if the air filter plate.

It feeds around the back of the engine to the fuel pump. It is the fuel manifold that supplies fuel to each of the four carbs.
This is a Datsun 1200 engine, with 77mm bore & stroke, giving 1434cc
