It originally had tubes that curved up & over the rocker cover so that the carbs sat above the engine, facing the other way. It was cut down to what you see here.
This is a 1200 engine with A14/15 head & a 1200GX exhaust manifold. The otherwise unused bolt hole for the late model alternator adjusting strap, on this head, is now used for the carb support bracket
