This is the Sunny Wagon that donated its 3.7 to 1 differential to my project. The wrecker, Jap Parts at 40 Waterloo St Queanbeyan, [near Canberra] doesn't know it has its original A15 in it [subject to confirmation]

What did you pay for the diff?
Those guys at jap parts charge way too much I reckon. Except they've got a set of bathurst globes to fit an escort with brand new rubber for $100.

Pay?
Too much, particularly when you remember that it involved a 200 mile [320k] round trip to get it. These diferentials in this ratio are a bit hard to come by, so i bought it anyway & got the steering wheel as as bonus.

Dodgeman,
Did you happen to notice if the gearbox was still in this vehicle?

They drove it it the spot in the yard where i took the photo then removed the diff. This was last saturday & it's now Monday, so the gearbox should still be there.

Have a look in the photo album at the firewall tag picture. Your car should have one just like it & it will show what was built into the car when it was new.

 Re: Sunny with A15
After a certain date [i forget when] Australian B310 Wagons switched from A14's to A15's. The diff ratio was also changed from 3.9, to the 3.7 to one ratio.
This one donated its diff to my 1000 coupe project, but was otherwise a running car untill today.
If you want a running A15 car engine, don't sit on your hands, but don't tell him what engine it is as i suspect that he thinks it's an A12 or at best, an A14.
