 Re: thermo fan
when i was researching which fan and what to use etc i read that a fan in a 'push' setup (infront of the radiator at front of car) is 15% or so LESS efficient than having it as a 'pull' setup. although i cant see the picture anymore as it looks like a blackdot, thought id just say. i couldnt fit mine as a pull but it works a treat as a pushing fan. 12" fan kit from repco and davies craig controller, on an old gemini radiator w/ overflow.

with the repco/aftermarket fans, you can switch the direction of the blade so u can use it as a push or pull.

 Re: thermo fan
cost me $25.00 from a wrecker, $55.00 for a davies craig thermal switch and a few hours installation. Fits fantastic behind the grille and wth the original shroud completely covers the radiator
just the thing for these hot summer days cruising the coast

It would be from an N13.

 Re: thermo fan
shroud??? I wouldn't run a shroud in front of the rad! Is the N13 fan designed to run in that location?

 Re: thermo fan
shroud may be a bit of overkill ...more the frame i suppose. the fan originally sits behind the rad in the pulsar but i've turned the blades around on the fan motor so now it blows instead of sucks

 Re: thermo fan
Turning the fan around will not reverse its direction of airflow, it just reduces the level of fan efficiency because now you have the back of the blade doing the work.

With the engine off, see if you can make the fan run & hold a small piece of paper near the running fan. Which way does it blow?
