I took the motor out (me and a mate lifted it, one hand each : )) and gave the engine bay a tidy up after removing the battery tray. supercheap auto export flat black in a can, hehe.

Nice. I always reckon if your doing an engine conversion before your ready to paint the exterior then the bay should always be painted black, and even better matte black, seeing as its my fav colour.

took about half an hour and cost me four bucks. gave me a chance to clean up the battery acid dribbles and put some filler where the tray was too.

theres nothing that will stop me getting to datnats, but i will have to pull my finger out

biggest problem i can forsee is the surge tank at the moment

Just make one out of some mild steel 3inch exhaust with metal plates welded on the top and bottom. Then all you have to do is weld some nuts over holes in the appropriate places and buy copper fittings to thread on.

hey dave, people here suggested against it for one of two reasons, dont remeber which now

either welds would contaminate fuel or steel would corrode inside the pot
